Who plans to lift their Ecoboost???

Hey everyone, I'm just curious to see how many people that are ordering the Ecoboost are going to lift and add larger wheels/tires. From what I've read and seen, it seems like it would perform great with how they describe the torque curve of the new engine. I would still get the 3.73 gearing though if it were me. What do you guys think???

I'd do exactly what I've done to my truck, and some. We have some coming around march/april in Las Vegas. May consider a trade in when my trucks paid off in the next month or two.

Probably swap over the rims/tires from my truck to the ecoboost, some gears and wait on a good tune for that engine. Id like to see something like 400hp/450tq on a moderate tune

How long do you think it will take to come out with a programmer for it? Do you think it will perform good with the bigger tires?

Give or take a few months for a solid tune

Depends what gears the truck is suited to. 3.73 with 35s would be decent, nothing too drastic in power losses but id still wait on a tune and 4.56 gears before 35s.

Id like to see what numbers this truck does in everyday driving situations hp/tq and mileage wise, then again on a tune. If this truck really does pull mid 20's in stock form, I'd hope for the about the same tuned and on 35s

With the new ratings I don't know that will happen but we can all be optimistic. I will probably wait out 2011 for the ecoboost before trading mine in. I'd like to have it tuned from the start with some 35s

remember the new trucks have electric power steering! Hopefully it will be beefy enough to turn the bigger tires.

I'd rather lower it than lift it, just to see if that will improve the gas mileage even further.

They look the exact same as any other 2009-2011 F-150

I had a 4" Rancho installed on my ecoboost. Tires are big but not very tall 325/60R18 (33"). Loving it's so far. Had a definite effect on mileage but not too dramatic it's still better than my comparably equipped 2005 5.4 and has more power to boot!

325/65/18 is a 35x13x18 Did you mean to put 60 instead of 65?
