my 1990 f150 wont start i need help
okay so my 1990 f150 the battery was dead so i jumped it my buddy hooked up the jumper cables backwards and now it wont start. i replaced the fuseable link from the solenid down to the alternator that was fried i repalced the relays blown fuses and the battery and the alternator i have power to the fireway but not to the fuel tank selector if i leave it sit for a while it almost starts but right after that it just cranks i have spark but only power to the fuel pump when i jump the switch i need help i am just about ready to junk it

Might have just been a bad replacement solenoid. Tell us how the first solenoid died and also how the replacement solenoid died. Also, where did you get the replacement solenoid?

Not a clue really as to how I killed the first solenoid. Maybe hit the potholes of Seattle too hard on my way home last Sunday. Got the replacement one from Autozone. Didn't do anything rough with the truck since then. The solenoid just stopped working a couple days later.
