I was also quoted about $1000 for a new magnaflow kit. Didn't want to pay that much then I was quoted $495 for a custom built exhaust for my 2009 charger sxt. I'm still shopping around and the price is dropping. Want the bad a$$ sound but will not pay too much for it.

I just got a Magnaflow single pipe setup for my 2010 crew cab for $450, free shipping too. The sellers name was tobysautoparts, the "buy it now" price was $521.49, I did the "best offer" thing and I started at $400...they automatically rejected that, along with $420, and $430...$450 was the last offer I put in, and a few hours later I got the email that they accepted the offer. Install took a little over an hour, but I took my time and adjusted everything a few times...so it could have went much quicker.

Exhaust options...

I kind of agree with all of you. It is tought to find a local shop to bend stainless. If you can afford a true stainless system you can go crazy with cash. I had custom long tubes and exhaust system made for my 94 Lightning but it's built and I added a turbo and on and on and on...anyway the system cost me over 4G's including the headers. But it was built by a guy that builds exhaust systems for race cars and in the business for thirty-five years. He had all the equipment he needed and used the best stainless and was a friend of my fathers for 50 years. As for my 07 FX4, I simply bought the parts I needed and had one of his techs put my cat back Flowmaster system together for less than 400 bucks! It's sweet, sounds great, and economical. It just depends on what you want, how deep your pockets are, and how long you can keep it from your wife!

Roush is selling their legal and offroad (louder version of legal) dual exhausts for $583. I love mine and it comes with everything you need to install. Did mine myself.

Red face Magna Flows w/tips

I'm in South Houston and anybody in the area interested in getting some magnaflows w/nice tips should visit Lonestar Mufflers and Brakes in Pasadena TX. They installed mine in less than 30 minutes and the cost for the exhaust kit, tips, and labor.....$300 even. So if someone offers you $500...that's pretty decent too.

I had a choice of flowmaster 70's for $325.00 or magnaflow $425.00 and that includes everything,he ordered the magnaflow's and he did ihe installation.
I don't see where guys are getting such a great deal if they order from a vendor on line,I seen magnaflows selling for $425.00 plus tax or more and they have to pay someone to install them,or put them on there self.
Is that about right, buy them online and have someone else do the work.I'm kinda curious to no.I live in the fort lauderdale area and there are quite a few custom muffler shops around and it keeps the prices down.
