Sounds great! You've got a nice truck as well!

To the OP...... any pics or videos yet? I've always been interested in the SI/DO kit that exits behind the rear tire "Harley style" but very seldom does anyone ever install it and upload pics. I think I've seen a couple on here but that's it. So again..... any pics?

Sounds great. The newer trucks aren't as quiet & tamed as the 04 - 08s seem to be, I like!

Thanks Langford! Your truck sounds great. Fairly quiet at idle but once you step on the gas it has a great tone to it. Ill definitely put it on my list of things to buy (very long list).

I have part number 16523 Magnaflow install kit. I opted for the dual side exhaust with tips.

I'm pretty sure I was sent the wrong parts. Everything else fit on the truck pretty well and I'm happy about that except getting the pipes that goes over the axle into its exhaust hanger.

The hanger tip on the exhaust pipes looks like a mushroom head (or ***** as I described to my wife) and it took forever and a day for me to get it into the rubber hanger. I used liquid silicon, dishwashing soap, and brute force to force it into that hole. With the help of my wife I was able to get it through. With me forcing it on she used a flat head screw driver to make more room for the head to go through the hole(that's my gripe)

Anyway, I get all of that done and go to install the part of the pipes with the tips and realize there is no way in HELL it'll fit. It doesn't marry up to the pipes that are over the axle and even if it did, there is no way for the pipe's hanger piece to fit into the stock exhaust hanger; The shield around the spare tire prevents that.

Even if it did fit in the hanger and I put the pieces together the tips would be dragging the ground.

Looking at my pics does anyone see anything wrong with my install and do you think there are some parts I can buy at the auto store to get those tips on properly? (that's my questions)

Overall the install went very smoothly and should have taken an hour but it didn't due to that tough hanger piece (that's my critique)

The kit itself is top notched and I'm enjoying the sound of the muffler (that's my praise)
Pretty much the most in depth reveiw yet thanks for all the pics it helped me decide

Sorry, not yet!

I'm crushed for time during the weekdays and probably won't be able to get back to this until Sunday. But I will post pics once I'm done!

Yes I did and sorry for how long it took me!

I was more crushed for time than I thought! I ended up taking the part to a local muffler shop to bend for me on Monday. I couldn't heat it up with my propane torch!

They wanted to do it for free but I tipped the guy $10.00 and picked it up yesterday.

In the end I still had to "force" the last piece on with regard to the hanger. That is I put the hanger on the dual piece then bolted the hanger back in place. It was a major PIA.

Here's the new pics!

My final analysis is unless Magnaflow gets this unit fixed to take in account the changes Ford made, I'd stay away from it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Looks great! I know what you mean with the fit...I just installed my kit 16518si/so and had to make some tweaks to the positioning to keep it away from the heat shield. I had to make one call to Magnaflow and they talked me through it...great customer service and product IMO. Now my system fits like a glove and sounds incredible!

Just a quick question. Is there any chance that you can just buy a 2008 hanger from ford and bolt it up in place of the 09/10 hanger?

If its not a direct bolt on it can still most likely fit if you drill and bolt it to the frame.
