Thumbs up AFE intake for 2009 5.4L

Just installed a AFE air filter system { part # 54-11622 } on my 2009 F150 with 5.4L engine. The company makes a very high quality kit with ALL needed parts & hardware plus an allen wrench and torque's head apex for installation . A complete cleaning and re-oiling kit is also included along with very clear { with pictures } step by step instruction sheet . Entire installation took a little over an hour and really cleaned up the engine compartment , sounds much better { intake noise IS NOT loud and obnoxious } and now along with the cat-back exhaust the engine can breathe . No check engine warning lights came on, and the truck " feels " like a slight acceleration improvement . Its too early to tell about gas mileage , but was getting 19.0-19.8 mpg before the install with a 3:55 rear ? Look real hard at this system for quality, easy install and priced in the $250 range depending on where bought ? Highly recommended

Linkey? I noticed that intakes for trucks are for the most part more expensive than my Stang. Not really an issue, as I am just making an intake for mine. I would like to hear/see more about this intake though.

Sugarbear, Have you had any problems with the air intake that you have installed back in Oct. 09? I am looking at installing a volant intake, but am conflicted between the AFE and the Volant.
