GT500 motor in an F150?
Engine mounts on all the Modular motors is the same IIRC, just on the V10 they have to turned upside down. As far was the wiring I think it would plug directly into the ECU without any modifications, main thing would be in the tune because while its a 5.4 motor, that motor is DOHC and the supercharger. You cant use a GT500 ecu because its a manual.
did you ever consider stuffing a 6 speed stick in there?
The SRT-10 comes with a stick right? couldn't be that hard to adapt something like that into a F-150 so it still had decent shift throws
besides, how badass would it be to have a 6 speed F-150 with all that HP?
got any video of that puppy running?

The srt10 single cabs had the option of a 6spd. All of the quad cab srt's I have seen have been automatic. I wouldn't even touch the tranny in the truck. I would definitely keep it an automatic when you are pushing those kind of numbers. If anything I would find a wrecked expy or navi and pull out the ECU and 6spd auto and have it beefed up. I still plan on doing that in my build at some point in time. Or just buy a brand new one that is supposed to go into the 09's.

I meant the GT500 6 speed, then use the SRT-10 shifter as a template to try and make it a "short throw".
otherwise you end up with huge gaps in the shift pattern like my old 94 F-150 with 5 speed.
there is just something satisfying about shifting gears with high HP applications...even if it may be slower ultimately.
that, and the whole tuning issue could have been cut in 1/2, if not completely resolved by the use of a GT500 ECU. the F-150 and the 05+ Stang are surprisingly close electronically
sorry, I wasn't very clear

Dodge screwed up putting a 6-speed in the first SRT-10 Rams. Probably done because a suitable auto wouldn't work well with a reg. cab truck. There's no such thing as short, precise throws with a setup like that.
Already had true dual, mandrel bent exhaust before the motor swap. Did have Dynatech headers, but they needed modifying to work with this setup, so I stayed with the GT500 factory exhaust manifolds. They flow very, very good so I'll probably just stay with this.
I know. I have a buddy who has a Roush 627 Mustang, and he sent that to me thinking it was cool. He says that he doesn't think they actually went into production, and this is an "add on" modification kit! Just tossin it out there!
