9.75 was actually pretty easy. The original 8.8 I had in mine was an open rear with drums, the 9.75 I swapped in has discs, so I had to have the booster form the donor truck, and bought a new master cyl. for the job, but other than that, went pretty straight forward--only catch was that the bolt pattern for the wheels is the same, but the stud size is different, so I have two different sized lug nuts on the truck. Small price to pay for a swap that otherwise was about perfect.

So far, my 460 (496) is still sitting with the iron heads, waiting for a flywheel/clutch assembly from L&L ($600), and I still need a ZF 5 speed w/4x4 x-fer case, motor mounts/tranny x-member, oil pan/pickup, and the serpentine stuff from the front of the motor would be nice to install, too.

I'll keep posting the results as things go on here. Bummer the few who have gone this way already aren't posting, or have moved on since. All info/help is needed/appreciated.
