Why the hell is it so many people think that just 'cause you ain't got a Ford anymore, you can't hang around here anymore?

I love the looks of the new dodges. As soon as the 2500 Mega Cab comes out my dad is trading in his 06 mega cab. Fords engine just sucks...

Congrats on the new ride. Getting a new car or truck is always exciting no matter what it is.

My buddy just bought an 09 Dodge and to be totally honest, it is one sweet truck. They are so much better than previous models and runs like a bat out of hell. I am not jealous because my 08 is an awesome truck. I will always buy Ford but riding in it once in awhile is OK!

Good luck with your new ride - cya in about 9 months.....

I agree... I owned a GMC for the last four years prior to purchasing my 2008 F-150 in December... still came to this site religiously. I liked the GMC... especially with the Denali front end... the GM site was just boring.

You had the 150 for what, 3 months or so? We'll see you in about another 3 months.

I voted this guy for TOTM??? Man you could have at least thrown me that light bar.

As far as Dodge goes. I love the Challenger and I would like to really test out the Station- I mean POWER Wagon.

Variety is the spice of life my man. Life is too short to limit yourself blindly to one brand. Don't get me wrong, loyalty is great, but that's my philosophy anyhow. Especially since all of the big 3 trucks are VERY good these days. I went from a 99 GMC Z71 ext. cab to an '02 F-150 s'cab FX4 to an '04 Ram 1500 QC 4X4 w/5.7 to my current F-150 s'crew. Honestly I'm so bored with trucks now that my next brand new vehicle will be a car and I'm just going to ride this truck into the ground as a 3rd vehicle. However if I was going to buy a new 1/2 ton right now I'd be looking HARD at the Dodge and GM twins...especially since Ford hasn't done anything with this boat anchor motor and most of the changes to the '09 F-150 don't grab me as making it worth trading in my '07.

Just in time, Diamler sold their share back in 2006, before that they had part in Chrysler Motors since 1998, so from that time till '06 I dont consider 'full' American.

hehe...you guys are a hoot! I was expecting some harassment and all in good fun (this is a Ford site after all), but wasn't expecting some of the blind hate comments but that goes along with the territory I guess.

I owned some previous generation Dodges too, so some of the comments about Dodge's past quality issues are right on. But some of the comments about the new Dodge Rams from folks who haven't spent any real time in the new ones, or at least really drove one, are way off base and they don't know what they're talking about. I don't mind that some folks don't like the looks of the new Ram either because that is very subjective to individual tastes. For example, I am not a big fan of the new F150's exterior design as I am of the 2004-2008 generation, but I still think the new F150 is a great truck (yes, I did spend a lot of time behind the wheel as part of my own evaluation).

For those of you who are supportive, thanks!!! One of the reasons I always liked F150Online is that this site has usually been more open about other brands, especially American, than some of the other sites I belong too (Chevy sites are the worse for bashing). I do like the new Dodge design; the step up in quality is very impressive, as is the 390 HP Hemi, and the ride and quietness is unbelievable (yes, more so than even the new Ford). Again I don't tow much so that capability wasn't a big consideration for me because if it did, I would be back in my F250. I still love Fords and like some of you have suggested, I will be owning another one (as well as probably owning another Chevy, Land Rover, VW, Jeep, or whatever). I tend to change things up every now and then, and if the Dodge turns out to be a real bummer then I'll have some stories to share, and crow to eat, when I return...time will tell.

I will try and post picks when I get a chance. I got an Inferno Red Pearl two-tone that really does look very sweet in person. I get comments everywhere I go (including other Ford and Chevy owners).....I really relate it to the ownership experience of my new 08 F250 FX4 that garnered a lot of attention. I am looking at getting it lifted with some BFG KM2s and other goodies over next couple of weeks.

Well, thanks again for the comments and sure hope you guys will let me stay in touch (and rib me every now and then....hehe).
