Hello...new here and have gear ratio question

I would first like to say hello. I have been lurking here for a month or so and this site rocks! Thank you everyone.

I have a couple of questions. I recently purchased an 04' screw and it has the Lariat package...I stupidly did not check and see what rear end the truck had. It turns out it is a 3.55 open diff. I am concerned about how this truck will be in the winter months in Ohio and it will be my daily commuter. I have sourced a 3.73 rear end complete with low miles and a LSD. I am concerned however that my speedo will be off with the change. What is necessary for me to calibrate the speedo correctly with the new rear end installed?

Thank you, Jason

If you were just changing for the ratio, I would say forget it, not that much difference, but I realize your main interest is probably the LS. You will need to either buy a tuner and recalibrate it yourself, or have the dealer do it. I think they charge about $80. It's all done through the computer.
