Ok guys i went by the shop to pick up some parts im selling. They had the front disasembled but had to put it back together since we decided to do the 4 link. (the rear has to be done first) So not the rear is sitting on jack stands at about ride heigth (2" lower) and thats without tires.

Im still waiting on parts so not much is going on untill tomorrow or friday when the axles get there.

The steering is coming off the stock box for now then ill upgrade that later.

The t-case will most likely be indexed down to help on pinion angles.

FOR THE PRICE:

Im doing this as a semi budget build, my budget is flexible to allow for PROPER setup.

Im not getting a bunch of NEW parts im making deals and buying used parts.

My goal is to have the truck ROAD WORTHY (SAFE) for 4k thats including EVERYTHING but that number can go up if need be.

Im gonna be running fabtech shocks, skyjacker front coils, 13" Superduty leaf springs for the rear.

Now later down the road im gonna swap out the front shocks and springs for FOA coilovers and the rear for FOA resevoir shocks.

We really didnt start ripping everything apart yet just unbolted the old stuff. we wanted to keep it able to move easily if needed. When theres pictures worth taking ill get some. Ill probably be back over there friday or so.

these types of projects can go over 20k worth of stuff, ive seen it happen.

oh yeah definitely trails. Im gonna go for a trail ride with a few friends in a couple months in Ocala.

Ive got a few things im gonna do before hittin the trails:
1. New Front and Rear bumpers.
2. Roll Cage
3. TIME (i want the truck to be settled in)

Im gonna do a roll cage in the cab and tie into the frame. I want it to look as clean as possible but keep the cab from crumpling. Ive got some plans for this though

im assuming your gonna gut part of your interior for the cage? i saw a lightning a while back with a cage and they had cut 2 holes perfectly in the back window and the cage came thru it and when into the bed and im assuming mounted to the frame. it looks pretty sweet. im definitely getting way to excited about seeing your truck finished.

no im not running it though to the bed. Im gonna have the cage just in the cab and most likely be behind all the plastic trimming. what we are gonna do is use the body as a guide and just use angle to box all that in the tie that into some DOM tube and into the frame under the cab.

The rear isnt getting done with the cab, since i might change to a flat bed or truggy bed later.

Im not worried about ME causing it to roll, this truck will be WIDE but the fact that there are idiots that like to cut people off combined with jerking the wheel to avoid hitting someone it would be a possiblity

yeah right...

No you got to read and quote the whole sentence. Im not worried about me flipping it, im more worried about other people on the road causing me to havce to flip it.

o ok. where it said "combined with jerking the wheel to avoid hitting someone" i though you meant someone else driving the truck might have to avoid an accident and accidental roll it.

Ha I wouldnt jerk the wheel to miss them I would run em over. Usually people tend to steer away from messing with people in big trucks on the road. It happens but from what I have seen here in tx if its HUGE they just stare in ahhhhhh.. Keep us updated.
