Aux-in tray help? With pic

Can someone tell me what connector fits this audio jack on the 07+ aux-in tray? I have seen 2 diff part #'s on other forums which my parts dealer says are both invalid and they don't know which one fits. I tried to search on the motorcraft site and looked at the pictures of the pigtails but this is the only picture I have of the back of the tray (from another member). I you have a close-up or clearer picture like the one listed here I will take that as well. Want to order the tray and connector at the same time to save on shipping charges.

Thanks to Shrapnel64 who sent me the connector diagram from the service dvd, here is the connector that will fit the tray. It is WPT-465. Ford# 3U2Z14S411PRA

OK, so you order the tray with the line in plug already there......then you take the wiring harness # WPT-465, plug one end into the back of the line in plug (or sodder), then take the plug end and insert it into the head unit? I guess I'm getting lost at how to attach to the head unit.....

OK.. I just ordered the parts to do this. Here is a quick summary of what I will be doing. First off, I verified that only the 07+ radios support the aux-in tray without using an adapter, like PIE or something. The WPT465 (ford# 3U2Z14S411PRA) plugs into the aux-in tray. Then I ordered a wire harness to connect a sirius unit that I got off ebay. I will have to connect the WPT465 to this harness to make it all work. My goal here is to have an aux-in tray with sirius satellite. I also want it all to be factory looking. (trying to keep the thieves away) I will post the results here and possibly some pics & a diagram when I am done. I expect the parts will be in in about a week are so. Then will have to get it all working. Sorry, guess it was a little more than the quick summary.

Hey, I just emailed you, then I found this post. Can you please tell me the colors of wires you connected the 3U2Z14S411PRA to? Tasca is shipping my tray and pigtail and I still don't know what connects to what! Believe, I've been searching for hours now and I cannot find a definitive post that tells me that!
Thanks for any help!

Look inside a post about an AVIC-Z2 its by Edwards. Thats where I posted the crack for the Aux-in Mod. Where the tray can work with any common HU with either a RCA or Mini Aux-in port.

I am familiar with this post and saved it for use once I get behind the dash:

Aux-in R (-) - Pin 14 on C290B - Pink - 20 ga.
So from all this info, I can gather that I connect the 3U2Z14S411PRA to C290B so my final question is which connector is C209B? An internet search just adds to the confusion.

I know this will all be easier to understand once I see 3U2Z14S411PRA and I am in the dash. Apologies for the hand holding but any help is still appreciated.

Tray installed...thanks tmd07!

My '07 aux tray is successfully connected to my '07 stereo, thanks in large part to the help of Tim aka tmd07. Below is the graphic depiction of the pinouts. Keep in mind that the pics are the front view of the connectors (wires exiting out the rear). Thanks for sending me this pic Tim! Low_e_red, your post was helpful but I am visual oriented so this was a HUGE help!

Any device with an audio output (Ipod, Zune, portable DVD player, etc) can connect to the 3.5mm jack built into the '07 tray. When I had my '05 stereo, I used a PIE connection, but when I upgraded to the '07 audiophile stereo, the PIE didn't work. Plus, I like the OEM look of the '07 tray, that's all.
If I didn't already have an '07 stereo, this mod would've been worthless...or too expensive as I would need to purchase an '07+ stereo, plus tray, plus harness, blah, blah, blah...
BTW, does anyone need a PIE?!?

I upgraded to a 07 navi earlier this year so it sounds like if I follow what you guys are doing I'll be able to listen to my Ipod. I'll have to go look, does the 07 audiophile navigation have a aux button on it or something?

I think this mod should work for you. I am not familiar with the '07 navi but I would think there is an aux button or line-in button somewhere on it...has to be. On my stereo, I hit the Aux button to cycle through SAT1, SAT2, SAT3 then Line In. From there I plug in the Ipod but must control it via the Ipod and not the stereo. There are much more elegant solutions but can be pricey and not sure how they work with OEM stereos.
