If you're an 04-06, get the Roush Overstock Roushcharger (non-intercooled):

Offer $2500. They should take it. That's stealing the kit at that price. I'm thinking of snagging these up and selling for $3K just to make a profit.

yeah that is a good deal. i paid $3800 for that same kit 3 years ago and THAT was a steal at the time, when they were going for $5000.

3 years and 50k+ hard miles with this kit and the truck is still going strong! get that kit and give Troyer $300-400 for some custom tunes and you will be very happy

I wouldnt go with a blower without a intercooler. IAT2 temps get high enough on a intercoolered system could only imagine them without one.

I've had vortechs (T, YSi, JT), paxtons (1k, 2k), procharger (d1), eatons (roots), and whipples (twin screw, 2.3) on my past mustangs. I can say, pound for pound of boost, the whipple will make our heavy trucks the most fun to drive, and power doesn't fall off. The big vortechs do sound pretty evil at idle though.

You get 400 rwhp right out of the box with the whipple. What other blower does that right out of the box? That is almost around 504 bhp if you figured a 26 percent loss. Out of the box vortech will only net bhp 429, factor in the loss and that is 317 rwhp.

Another thing, the whipple's make power off idle and power won't fall off like the eaton does up high. Add that they come with an intercooled setup and detonation is not as much of a worry.

Not trying to start an argument, just what I have learned in supercharging cars in the past 10 years. Take it for what it's worth or leave it.

If you are still under warranty and you put that whipple on you will loose what you have left of the warranty I have the roush and I broke the rear U-joint and drive shaft Roush coverd me 100%, and I make just as much power as the guys with the whipple.

the whipple doesn't look that impressive. it's $1,000 more expensive and I'd rather have the Ford Racing setup for cheaper.

Ford Racing +160 rwhp (460 rwhp) for $5,300

Roush +112 bhp for $5,000+...but overlays and replaces 3/yr 36k warranty

Whipple S/C 394 RWHP for $6,000

You know the ford racing kit is a whipple charger right?

I am not sure where you are getting 460 rwhp figure from. Our trucks do not make 300 RWHP at the wheels stock. If you use my figure of 26 percent drivetrain loss, the trucks might make around 220ish rwhp, figuring 300 bhp.

Now if you add back the 160 rwhp ford racing/whipple power to the stock rwhp, then it comes back to around what whipple quoted. Around 380-400 rwhp, or 478ish bhp.

It is all about power under the curve.
