swapin a 4.9L to a 5.0

i have a ? i have a 89 f150 4.9L 4x4 4 speed, i am putting a 89 5.0 in and what i was wondering is if the transfer case could work with the v8 setup? or even if the tranny would work also...?

Should work... Check the bell housing. You have the 5.0 CPU?

The 5.0 and the 4.9 blocks have the same BH pattern so the tranny and T/C will be a bolt on. They're balanced differently so you have to use the flywheel that goes with the engine.
