Does a 2005 truck w/tow package have T-cooler?

I have a 2005 Supercrew FX4 F-150 with a tow package and 3.73 gears. I am just getting into camping and someone has told me to get a transmission cooler. I have a used 28ft camper empty at 4,667 lbs. Some of the other threads I have read say that if you have the tow package, it already comes with a cooler and you don't need another. Any feedback?

I have an XLt with tow package, it has the cooler. Just look in front of the radiator. Should be there.

Smile Cooler Questions

If the tow pack was installed by the dealer or factory, it will have the trans cooler mounted right in front, should be easy to see through the grill

The cooler that is factory installed is too small for the serious hauler . A larger cooler costs about $90.00 and will save your trans and fluid , while giving you reliability .

On my 04, this is what I have.

Power steering cooler

What you have will be very similar.

Nothing personal but I have to disagree with you on this one. Unless you are hauling so much that you should have bought an F-250 there is no reason to replace the factory cooler.

If you are serious about towing, I would reccomend installing a temp gauge for 50 bucks on the output of the trans before the cooler. If you notice going over 200 degrees, add more cooling.

Or you can simply add an Efan to it...
My Nissan Armada has a Trans gauge and the cooler has a Efan on, that's from factory.
