Is the panoramic sunroof the only option now?

I have had 3 Lariats with the regular moon roof and would prefer to buy one again. Since I am on some rough roads for work I doubt I will be spending $1295 on a possible roof leak from Ford.

 

Well i just bought a 2016 and they still have the problem of leaking. the dealership says leaking is normal thats why they put in drain channels. leaks badly.

 

noticed the leak friday. just dropped it off at the dealer today. they have to send it out to a body shop to get it fixed. they are supposed to call tomorrow and let me know how long they will have it

 

just heard from dealer. apparently, 2 seals were pinched at the factory when the pan roof was installed. it is going to be a week or 2 before they can get it in to body/glass shop. apparently, windshield and headliner need to come out. they are replacing the whole thing. hopefully, this solves the issue. will update when the work is completed. going to pick it up until they can get it in.

 

rained last night. now it leaks in 3 different places as opposed to one. put call into service to find out why. they said they only looked at it and did not disturb anything. i guess leaks just multiply on there own. had rained much harder previously and only had the 1 leak.

 

just got truck bad. pinched seal replaced. also notice rear drain tube was pinched and not connected during factory install. all appears to be fixed. ran it under a hose for an hour and no leak at all. took a little less than a month but the fix worked.

 

I have a new 2016 Lariat Special Edition FX4 Sport... have only 4000 kms on it. Just noticed that the sunroof leaks whenever there is water (any amount of rain). Took it into dealer and they say its acting how it is suppose to with water going in the channels and down the drain tubes. I asked what happens when the draintubes freeze or clog. Nothing normal about it!!!

 

Just bought my 2016 Platinum (OCT) with panoramic sunroof here in WI.... Ran it through multiple car washes no leaks so far.... now I am nervous and will keep an eye on it!

 

I have the sunroof on my 2016 with no leaks at all.

 

2016 F150 XLT Sport 4x4 5,500 miles...

I live in Georgia. It finally rained---first time in 2 months.

Get in the car this morning----I see a puddle of water (4-6 ounces) in the passenger floorboard. Then I notice about 1-2 ounces spilled right on the top center of the dash.....dripping into my traction control button.

The roof liner was soaked with water at both locations dripping....

Not happy.
Taking to dealer tomorrow...will update.

 

I am not having issues to date with any leaking however, my wifes 2015 Platinum is sitting at Ford for the 3rd time in 90 days with a broken sunroof track. Is anyone else having this issue or know of a string that is dealing with this problem? Seem to be having many more issues with the high end truck vs my 2004 FX4 or 2007 XLT.

 

I'm having my broken sunroof track fixed for the first time in my 2015 Lariat. I took it in 2/24/2017 and the dealer still has it. The truck has 29,xxx miles and hasn't had any issues leaking yet. When the truck was brand new the sunroof rattled everytime I would hit the smallest bumps. I took it to the dealership amd they were able to fix the rattling noise the first time I took it in. Since then it hasn't rattled.
