ON oard air system- where to put tank?

2g as in 2 gallon? that is easy. The question is, how is your exhaust set up? If you are running stock, or stock location single exhaust, simply mount it to the other side under the bed behind the rear axle. 2 gallon is not very large at all.. Depending on the layout.
Get a tape measure out, and start measuring. Looking at the specs it looks like it is smaller than the OE muffler on the truck, plenty of guys run duals, you might have to rig up some sort of heat shielding, but other than that, you have room...
Might need to verify the dimensions, but what about between the frame rails between the radiator and front bumper?

I agree that simply mounting a tank underneath (esp long/skinny 2Gal) is easy, but is won't get him much air for refilling tires from low psi to hwy pressures. A small portable or even onboard compressor is usually even easier to mount than an air tank is, and will be infinitely more useful than 2Gal of air.

I have a 3 gallon tank mounted on the outside passenger side frame rail.
