Uh-Oh!

In the last couple months, I have been hearing a pretty definite ticking in the passenger side valve cover. It's not camphasers, I know all about those.

Its further back and can even be heard if laying under the truck listening in the exhaust pipe up between the catts and the head. Infact its pretty loud coming through the pipe.

I've been trying to take it easy but as of yesterday the tick is now accompanied by a knock, and with a slight pulse that can be felt at idle.

Guess I need to get to a shop and quick. What do you guys think is happening in there?

Yeah I'm sure it has something to do with one of those. LOL Believe it or not its loud enough that the "knock sensor" is now activated and pulling spark.

Gotta get it to the shop.

Check for a broken exhaust manifold stud. Usually more of an issue in the north, but I've seen it.
