cannot get my grill off. bolts spin. ideas?

hey all,

i've run out of ideas on how to install my saleen grill without just ripping the bezel off my truck. 5 of the 6 bolts just spin. i only got one off. anyone else have this problem? anyone have ideas? my only idea at this point is to break all the points holding the bezel to the hood and epoxy them back once i get it off. it's the only idea i have left to get access to the bolts so i can keep them from turning. thanks!

Put a small screwdriver under the nut and lightly twist and pry at the same time

I had the same problem.. Spray them with WD40 and let it soak for a bit. Put ur wrench on the nut, and grab the end of the bolt with pliers. Slowly work it off and keep soaking it with the wd40. Took me about 10 minutes to get all 6 of mine off.. It takes time and patience.

back it off, then back in, back off,..etc. when it starts to bind up, back it off and hit it with more wd40

that sounds like a plan. I tried just holding the end but it kept slipping in the pliers. maybe with wd40 it will give me enough play. If not I'm ripping the darn thing off and then fixing it. lol

Try vice grips if it is slipping in the pliers

That looks awesome.. good job

As for the lower grill, personally I would pull out the side honey combs, spray it satin black krylon, and put it back in.
