04 Ticking in Park but Not Drive

I've got an 04 5.4 3v with a rebuilt engine from last year. I bought rebuilt heads and had my block rebuilt. All OEM timing parts. Anyway I have this tick when in park, it's gets louder as RPM increases. But when it's in Drive not a peep. Nothing. I've set the parking brake, put my left foot on the brake and revved to over 2K and nothing. Sounds great. Put it in park and it ticks like it's rollers or something. But that doesn't make sense to me. Wouldn't it tick like that regardless of selection?

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Ken

jgger - Wouldn't the flex plate still rotate regardless of if it's in park or drive? I'm hearing this ticking behind the dash it seems.

Thank you,

Ken

I had one crack on me but I don't remember if the noise stopped in gear or in park.
