Electrical help(manual to power windows)
Has anyone done a manual to power windows swap? I got a regular cab 98 with manual windows and i already have the oem doors with power windows and switches just trying to see if anyone has a wire schematic or info that can help me out to complete the swap.

Well, unless you intend to wire them for manual control, you would need the proper harness to the GEM module and from the passenger side.
The GEM is a programed version to include them and is in control in all vehicles built with power window functions.
You can wire for manual by providing a new fused power source and not over done at UP and Down position stops to blow the fuse or break something in the linkage. What this means is the GEM has auto current limiting as a safety and provides the one touch function feature so "little hands, paws and heads" don't get caught in a closing window.
Look in a Haynes Manual page 12-26 for basic drawing and think about it long enough the see what's needed and if you feel it's worth the effort.
Good luck.
