electrical problems

98 f150 keeps blowing the fuse for the cruise control, back up lights and heater-ac controls. all are on the same 15 amp fuse. I replaced the ac compressor and clutch but still the same problem. anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it

Which fuse (see owner's manual)?

Why did you replace the compressor and clutch?

I just fixed that problem. Most likely problem is a short in the harness. Follow the harness from the tranny back. Look for a place that it is touching the exhaust. Mine was laying on the EGR tube on the passenger side near the fire wall. This is a common problem. That fuse goes to the relay for the ac clutch. So a bad clutch or compressor wouldn't blow that fuse. Good luck And let us know how you make out.
