Suspension 2001 5.6 XLT

So any time I hit any small bumps there's a loud clinging noise from the front sounds like a chain or something any idea what it is or how to fix

Probably is a chain, left over from when someone replaced the original engine with a Nissan engine..............

Haha.

And OP, have you checked the sway bar end links, ball joints, tie rods for play?

Yea sorry meant 5.4 got I mixed with 4.6

I have the same sounds from the left front and discovered a missing sway bar link bushing (sigh).
