Troyer's Tranny Stuffs

I was looking at Troyer's site and was curious about some of his stuff for these transmissions. Anyone have any experience with things like the Transgo Shift Kit? How do they work, are they easy to install, how's the performance, ect? Thanks!

How does it improve accelleration? That's really what I'm looking for. I want some mods for my truck (engine, tranny, gears) that will give me tire spinning accel.

Mine definatly turns the tires on the one/two shift any time you are much past half throttle, all shifts are very quick.

How difficult was it to install? Did you have to remove the tranny?

Valve body is inside of the tranny pan....unbolt the pan and there it is. Like he said easy, although a bit messy.

That sounds pretty good. How is it with towing things? I do want performance, but I also do occasional towing.

the 1-2 shift can be kinda harsh towing you just have to learn to give it the right amount of throttle (or let off at the right time) to keep the 1-2 shif from jerking, but other than that it is fine i have only towed about 3500 with the shift kit but it did great shifts were good, the heaver the load the less the 1-2 shift kicks if you know what i mean, good luck

As big truck311 states install is simple, If you go with a Troyer tune he can soften up that 1/2 shift at ligh throttle and leave it hard at higher speeds or you can leave out the second 1/2 accumalter spring and lighten the shift It can be easily changed when you drop you're pan put a drain plug in it and then if you want to do anything the fluid can be drained easily and saved.
it will be great for towing it drops the trans temperature because you have mor posative shifts less slippage less heat.

Thanks guys. I will probably get something from Troyer. Right now with college it's pretty hard to get anything... even gas at the prices they are now. But when I decide to do something I'll definatly post! Thanks again!
