No sign of anything building up to it excect it has bucked and jerked it's whole life. (45K mi.) All of a sudden, no more clutch, and the reservior is dry. Damned plastic slave cylinder I guess. Luckily I have a 6yr / 75K Ford ESP BaseCare plan. Should cost me $100 deductable, but I'm not 100% on that. I know it doesn't cover one 5-speed componet, but I forgot what that was. Just had to vent.

 

That sucks but at least the internals did'nt let go. They will most likely yank the tranny to repair the slave cylinder. Do you think you'll do the clutch since it will already be apart?

The slave cylinder may not be covered. The clutch is considered to be a maintenance item, so they might not cover it. Good luck!

 

Just figured that out...see other post. Is there any way to visually inspect the syncros or?
