Unfortunately, as the 2015 F-150 begins to roll off the assembly line just after the 2014 models, there is a recall to mire the great news.

Ford is issuing a safety recall for 960 2014 F-150s for a brake pedal position switch that may cause a delay or even a non-illumination of the brake lights when you hit the brake pedal.

This recall is a noncompliance issue with FMVSS 108 for lamps in North America. It also may cause drivers to use more brake pressure to trip off the cruise control system, so Ford is advising owners to not use their cruise control until repairs have been made. However, you can still turn the cruise control off with the switch on the steering wheel.

If your F-150 was built at the Dearborn Truck Assembly Plant from March 1st, 2014 to March 13th, 2014 or at the Kansas City Assembly Plant from March 3rd, 2014 to March 13th, 2014, your truck may be in the recall.

The recall will not be charged to the customer and dealers will remove and correctly reinstall the brake pedal switch to fix the issue.
