birth of a beast.

Hi to all those out there, but my father and i had bought a 1990 f-250 last year and decided to make a worker out of it, well, needless to say when you can pull the seatbelt out of the floorboard you know you have bought a "good lil unit" as dad says lol! we are in the process of swapping a 1991 f150 body onto the 1990 f-250 frame. It has been a task! heck i remember when we had an ol' 1976 with the 400 in it and the granny low 4 speed, "talk about low gas mileage!" We did the same thing and ran it until gas started gettin up in the 3 dollar range. This build has been a learning experience to both of us, with a computer and all in this 351. I'll be moving out in a few years and wont have these opportunities with my father anymore, so i enjoy every minute of it, it also helps that im planning to be a mechanic. I will try to post pics, and i may come back with questions regarding this build. :rocker:

That Rock's!!! I did the same type stuff with my sons. Now they followed my footsteps and are serving in the Marine Corps and are in Afganistan doing what they do... Makes me sleep good at night knowing they got our back.

well i have no idea were the camera is, so i didn't upload what few i have, and take any so up to date ones. so far we have both cabs removed from both frames, (we ended putting a diesel tank in the back of the f-150's bed and making that into a trailer) Now dad and i are doing fab work on the floors and cab corners to get rid of rust holes and make it sturdy. i swapped the gauge clusters and ECM's out, i didn't think the auto gauge cluster with the prnd21 in the cluster would fly in a 5 speed. all we need to do now is finish up fixing the few rust holes on the cab, swap the cracked manifolds on the 5.8 to headers, then stick the body on and find a flatbed, then paint the thing black with a silver bottom. Anyone know anybody that needs a 5.8 or a 2wd auto tranny? the motor needs valve cover gaskets and a starter.

well we have the cab floor done, and dad has the photos on his phone, yesterday my little brother and i wheeled the 250 frame into the shop and dropped both old tanks and put the new ones in. I had tried pulling the manifolds, but i cant get the bolts to turn, i really dont want to break them, but if it needs done... we have officially met the halfway point. :rocker: I'm happy with what we have gotten done so far!
