Well it seems today my lil 1/2ton 4.6L F-150 was overloaded yet again but this time very over loaded 2,565 lbs were only 1,000lbs should be...Truck did fine no probs at all to my amazement i wasnt on bump stops i was only about a 1/4 inch away from them but my truck had no probs and didnt get any hotter then it normaly does. who needs a F-350 just over load ur F-150s ill try and get the pictures of it up soon...always wonderd what my truck looked lowerd in the rear and a 2"lift on the front

That's awesome. I don't know if I'm down for overloading myself, but to each his own. Better your truck than mine, right?

Your bragging about this?

You realise your just proclaiming your idiocy? Hah, I guess I shouldn't have to ask, you do it again and again all over this forum.

How does this make me an idiot?? im showing a 1/2 ton can haul more then 1,000lbs in the bed. yes i know it wasnt safe but i had no other way didnt wanna blow up my buddys trans in his cummins. and it was only for 3-4 miles.

Your front wheels are about to come off the ground, your truck is on the bump stops, the load isn't tied down, and by the looks of it your P rated tires are about to burst.

shifty_85 08-12-2008 09:59 PM

that load didnt need to be tied down it wasnt going anywre i got one of those rubber mats that stop stuff from moving around. the tires didnt look too bad. im not on bump stops im about a 1/4 inch from them. and the front tires never left the ground....you guys cant get enogh of flaming shifty on this fourm can ya?

Barrett 08-13-2008 11:13 PM

If I were you I wouldnt try that again. Since it was just 3 or 4 miles, make 2 trips. Would be alot safer that way.

I once tried something like this...... loaded the bed of a '86 D-50 over the top of the cab with firewood. had that jacked up front look too.
It worked great till i hit a rainstorm, and found out the front tires had no traction.
Lesson learned.

My transmission didnt go out because of this... it was because of another one of my great idot ideas. every day after school for about 6 months i would do brake TQ's then i saw how much tires cost and i stoped. but i guess that was enogh to blow up frist gear. Lots of smoke and black marks thoe :rocker: Well anyways back to droppin the tranny
