Replacement Tires

About six months ago, I bought a new 2002 F-150 Supercab 4X4 with the King Ranch package. The truck came with P265/70R17 Wrangler RT/S tires. Love the truck but I think the tires are too small for the vehicle. It's a visual thing. I want to replace the tires with something slightly taller and wider and still keep the stock King Ranch rims. And I don't want to add a lift kit. Can anyone tell me how big I can go and maybe recommend a tire?

you can put 285 70 17 on with no problems. those are about 33 inches tall and 11.5 inches wide. they look good. you could go a little bigger with 305 70 17. they are almost 34 inches tall and 12.5 inches wide. this would require you to crank up the torsion bars a few turns to lift the front about an inch. and it might require you to trim the lower valence on the front bumper. i would go with the 285 70 17s if you want to keep everything stock. i only know of mud tires in this size. bfg mud terrains and goodyear mtrs. look on tirerack.com or etires.com

by the way, your stock tires are 31.6 inches tall and about 10.5 inches wide.
