2wd Tire Sizes

i was wondering if anyone knew what's the biggest size tire i could put on my 2002 F150 2WD without any modifications. i know you can go as far as 33x12.50s with a 4WD but i have no clue about 2WD.

I've read several times that you can fit 285/75-16s on the stock rims without a lift.

If you want all of your wheel travel (off road) then You can't realy go much bigger than stock. I put 245/75-R16 BFG A/T's on mine. And even that, I found was to big. I hit a rock and bottomed out, ripping my inner fender out.
If your not going to get to crazy offroad then you could go bigger. But without a lift, its a trade. Tire size or wheel travel. I'm going with both. So that means lift.

go big

I put BFG All Terrain TA 285/75/16s on my 97 F150 w/ no problems at all.

They look soooo sweet. Give even a 2wd a pretty fierce look.

Yep, he's right! I have seen a couple 2WD F-150s running 265/75-16s and it looks like they were intended to carry at least theat size.
