Just landed a set of new 2000 Lightning wheels for my 2001 SuperCrew. Now I need to make a tire decision. Have at least settled on the size - 285/60R18.

Looked at a set of Pirelli Scorpions and liked them. Also looked at a set of Toyo Proxes that were pretty sweet. Anybody know anything about Kumho tires? They looked pretty sweet too. The Kuhmos had good temp, traction, and wear ratings, but cost a little less than the other two. I looked at all three of these tires at my local Discount Tire store, which had about the best pricing I could find.

Let me know what you think of these tires (especially the Kuhmo's) and which direction you'd recommend. If there's a better tire I may have missed, let me know.

 

I have been hearing great things about the toyo tires lately..i have open country's and love them..just my two cents. they seem to put out a good quality tire, and not everyone has them like the BFG's.
