Removing manufacturing marks

There are some marks on my ORP wheels which I would assume are from the manufacturing process. It almost looks like a grease pencil, but it won't come off. What can I use that won't damage the finish of the wheels? I'm hesitant to use a solvent as strong as acetone.

I might try lightly hitting it with #0000 steel wool. Test it in an area that you can't see just to make sure it doesn't damage the plastic clear coat. I supect that they have this coating.
