will 285's fit? anyone installed 1.5" rise coils?

Will 285/75/16 BFG MT's fit on a 97' f150XL 2wdrive? Has anyone put front rise coils in the front end? what size increase did you get? ANY help would be greatly appreciated. THX.

Use this calculator and see the difference between your stock tire and the 285.

I know they will fit on a 98' F250LD 4X4, I put a set on yesterday!!! Whoo Hooo...They look sweet, and they dont hit at all. I don't know for sure about the 2 wheel drives, but I think if you go through some of the older threads in this category you will find the answer. If I remember correctly people said it would fit, but trimming and or torsion tweaking would be necessary. But don't take that as a yes, do a little more research, I KNOW I have seen that topic addressed here several times....

Good luck!

Kauffman -

I also have a 2wd and am looking to get the exact same tires: 285/75/16 BFG MT's. I was at Home Depot a couple of days ago and parked right next to an F150 with 285/75/16's and I am positive that it was a 2wd and it was not lifted. They weren't BFG MT's so I don't know if that matters. They looked great but I'm sure they would rub in the front, they took up the entire wheel well. I almost wanted to wait for the guy to come out so that I could ask him! haha
