Question increase tire size = decrease warranty?

Just wondering if anyone knows what Ford does with you warranty when you put larger tires on your truck. I am going from 245's to 285's and woould prefer to keep my warranty. If I have to I will do all my spedo adjustments by chip and pull it when it goes back to the dealer (with 245's). Any info would be appreciated.

Just had some warranty work done on my Expy last week and no problem. Although, oversize tires are a way of life in Arizona. Most of the dealers around here will have the wheels and tires installed as an option. A friend of the family has been with Ford for over 20 years and always has big tires and a lift kit put on his dealer supplied demo.

Good Luck.

Well I just heard back from Ford, and the only thing they managed to say was that if I do not get my spedo/odo recalibrated it would void my warranty. They also rambled on about how the vehicle was designed for the tires that came with it, but did not mention that the chages that would occur to the vehicles systems (suspension, brakes, steering) would void the warranty.
