Why wont my brake calibers release?

I have a 2000 Ford F150 and i have already put on the new calibers and bleed them. But they still wont release. I know i have a bad ABS pump that i am going to fix but for now until i have the money i pulled the fuse and the plug to the pump......but still after replacing the calibers its still not releasing. Any ideas?

It could be caused by flexible brake lines. Sometimes when they fail the insides of the hosed collapse. It's a common problem. Is it happening with more than one caliper? It also could be the master cylinder if two linked calipers are acting the same.

Whenever I replace calipers, I always replace the rubbers. They are cheap, and I consider them "part of the job".

Before I put the new one on, I always flush the steel line. Then screw on the new one, proceeding the caliper. Then bleed.

I start from the furthest brake from the master cylinder and work my way to the closest.

I can't stress it enough, brakes are the most important piece to a vehicle's safety. I don't care if anything else is broke on it, as long as it's not the brakes.

A couple months ago there was a limo crash that killed 20 people, that was near me with a stretched Ford Excursion, and they believe the root cause was a failed brake hose. Don't turn into a similar statistic!
