Help me decide Bilstein 5100 setting

I am about to mount some 275/65/20's, on a 20x9 with +12mm bs onto my 2006 FX4. I will be installing the Bilstein 5100's first of course, but want to know which setting will be least likely to rub.

After everything I have read, the higher you go, the stiffer the shock gets, so I'd like to run it on the second from the highest ring if possible....thoughts?

I set mine with the stock 20" tire size on the second from top ring (1.5").

I was originally only going to go for the .75" setting, but changed my mind as I was putting it together..

Kinda wishing I stuck with the .75" setting, but have not hated doing the 1.5" either..

It's a heck of a lot smoother ride than the stock shocks, that's for sure.. I did the 5100's for the rear too and as a package, it's much better overall.

I even added these Hellwig helper springs to the rear end and it's still a smoother ride than stock.. Tows my TT a lot better and I'm even going to tighten up the hellwigs a bit more!

Good luck!

Thanks for the response...this place has sadly gotten slooooow.

I actually already have the 5100s on the rear, I've just been dragging my feet on the fronts.

I want to do the 2nd from the top setting, I'm just afraid it'll rub. Hopefully someone else with a similar wheel/tire/bs combo will chime in.
