35x12.50R18 BFG KO2 Pics & My bad experience with Discount Tire
Hi all,
So I did a lot of searching before and couldn't seem to come up with any pictures of this set up so I wanted to share in case anyone ever was curious. Love the way they ride and I got 70k out of my original KOs so I'm hoping these treat me just as well. Disclaimer: I would urge you not buy from Discount Tire or Discount Tire direct. They were more than helpful when I purchased these but once they arrived they claimed they would not install them according to their ''policies" and the "red flags that appeared in the computer" and wanted me to pay for the shipping to send them back, and then explained that I would have to also pay for mounting and balancing and the road hazard warranty on a set of tires that "fit" my rim. These additional costs were right around $500... I kindly walked out. Any questions about these tires or the truck, just ask. Looks good

are those the stock 17s or stock 18s?
Stock 18s |
And, I've had nothing but excellent experiences with Discount Tire - on my trucks, my cars and my trailer. That's the ONLY place I go to order and install tires.

I only order from TireRack... I can get what I want, and I take the rims off the truck and have them sent out to a shop that charges minimal to mount and balance tires.

I'm very happy with Discount Tire. They beat Sam's Club price on my Michelins.

Sorry to hear of your indecent experience with them. Glad to see you got your tires.
I was going to ask how close they are to the upper ball joint but I see your photo. Looks decent! I had Toyo M/Ts on my 2004 with 20x9 +18 offset wheels, it was within a millimeter or two from the UCA haha! I can totally see with the stock narrow +40 some offset how they would need a spacer. |
They certainly look good...some places won't mount a wide tire on the 7.5 inch wide wheels. I had the same problem years ago when I had my '04 Lariat. The KO2 's are some great tires!!
