Lug Nut Stripped

2012 F150 4x4 Supercab, stock wheels.

Went to pull the wheel to get get the tire patched. Got to the last lug nut. The lug wrench didn't want to fit on properly. I didn't realize the nut was slightly damaged. I pushed it on as tight as I could but when trying to loosen it, the wrench spun on the nut causing more damage. I also tried a regular socket wrench but no luck. Pictures are attached.

I noticed the cracking and now realize the nut has some type of built-in cover? Is there a real nut under there? Should I try to pry the cover offer to get to the real nut? Just looking for some suggestions so I don't make the nut worse and would prefer to get the tire off myself without having the pay the mechanic to pull the wheel.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Ken

If you can't hammer a socket on the nut, you can use a special tool for that purpose.

You should be able to pull the chrome piece off. Just don't scar up the wheel...
There is a nut under the chrome that is a socket size smaller.
