295/70/17 vs. 315/70/17
Need some help guys. What size should I buy?? I have some Method Race Wheels that are 17x8.5 with a 0 offset and 4.75" of backspacing.
I'm putting these on my 2005 Leveled FX4. I'm running a 295/70/18 on stock wheels now but came across these Method's for a killer price. Couldn't turn it down. Am looking to buy some MT's for these 17's but am questioning the size.
Thanks for the help!

Two pictures of my '04 with the same wheels...one pic running 295x70x17 Toyo MT's(top pic) and one running 315x70x17 BFG TA/KO's(bottom pic). The 315's looked good but rubbed when turning even after trimming. The 295's were an inch shorter and about 3/4 inches narrower which made for a better fit on 17x9 wheels with 5 inches of backspacing. A 17x8 with 5.5 inches of backspacing would be your best bet to run the 35's and then they still may rub somewhere. Raptor 17's have great specs to run 35's also...17x8.5 with a close to 6 inch backspace but they'll only stick out about 1/2 inch more then stock.

Yes...I think the 295's would fit better on the Method wheels. The wheels will give a wider stance and the 295's will still look great with minimal if any rubbing. Being an inch shorter then the 315's the tires won't cut into the truck's performance as bad either. The Toyo MT's I had were heavy..about 73 lbs so gas mileage was around 16 mpg on the highway. This was with my 5.4 3V and running an Edge Evolution. Here's a few more pics of the 295's on the 17x9 wheels I had that stick out only 1/4 inch more then the Methods you described.
