What psi for LT load C on an F150?

So I got a set of cooper discoverer at3s in LT265/70/17 load c (50 psi). The tire shop set them at 42 psi and they feel soooo much better than the P metric tires I was running at 40 psi.

That said, what's the best psi to run this load C tires to get the best tread wear and life out of them? The most weight that's ever in my bed is about 300 - 400 lbs but it's usually just one trip a month.

Should I be running these tires closer to 50 psi? Or will 42 be ok?

My p metric tires at 40 psi had 55k miles on them and still could have have a couple more years of life. I want to get the same lifespan with the new tires. Thanks!

Around 40 should be fine for the tires you purchased. Ford recommends either 40 or 45 depending upon which LR C it installs as OLE equipment, so any where in that range should be good. Just keep and eye on wera and adjust as needed. I would not go any lower than 40.
