Centric 2 piece front brake kit..grease or no grease?

Centric 2 piece front brake kit..grease or no grease?

Hey guys..so I just got the front brake kit and was wondering do I need to put anykind of grease on the spindle before I put the hub on?

I believe the way it works is, if the hub has the sealed bearings pressed in, then no. If it is a hub with conventional tapered bearings then grease it old school style.

It wouldn't hurt to put a very light coat on the spindle to help prevent corrosion if you have the sealed unit.

Grease

I did not last spring when I put them on my truck, the spindles were clean when I took off the old hubs and no indication of old grease.
I don't think it would hurt though, so if it makes you feel better then go for it.

I didn't know if the hub unit was sealed or unsealed. I just ordered the whole kit off of Amazon.

Do I need like bearing grease or the grease you put on the brake pads when you install them?

Either would woek, you could even use nickle antisieze

Thanks...I got a whole jar of the high heat brake pad grease I have left over. I can use some on there.
