Raptor wheels and tires

Can anyone give me a definitive answer to whether or not stock Raptor wheels and tires will fit on my 2010 FX4, with a 2 in. Level, without any rubbing issues?
Thanks in advance guys!

I guess I should take the lack of replies as a "no".

It's hard to say. It should be okay, but every truck is different. With raptor wheels having such a large backspacing if it's on the stock 35" tires too you may rub upper control arm or frame.

Lot's of people are running that set up with no problem's...Raptor wheels should clear the 315's on your truck easily and look great!

I put Raptor wheels on mine with 33s and they were fine. Now that I have mine leveled I could probably go 35 with them.

I still say to go with 'em, man! I know we already discussed it, but it seems everyone else has the same to say as I did unfortunately.

Our 2wds can't fit full width 35s, or skinny ones for that matter, even on wheels with an offset closer to 0 though, titan. I wish we could . . . the 275 sizes we have are great though cause they can provide some height while staying thin enough to fit.

This is my '04 lariat I had with 315x70x17 BFG TA/KO's on 17x8 wheels with 5.5 inches of backspace and they fit fine with no rubbing...ran these tires for 43k miles..

Thanks everyone! I'm gonna go for it. I'm getting a great deal on the Raptor wheels and tires, so it's worth taking the chance.

Just in case... Can anyone recommend a good set of inexpensive wheel spacers ?

Yay! There we go

Not sure on the wheel spacers, but there's one kind preferable over the other. I think pressed in studs are best? Something like that that I'm sure someone else will clarify.

I don't think you'll need spacer's...the specs on the Raptor wheels are close to stock and with the BFG's they should clear with no rubbing. Using spacer's may even cause rubbing.

Pressed studs for spacers are best, but the smallest they come in is 1.5" and that'll cause rubbing issues. And you get what you pay for with wheel spacers, so inexpensive isn't good usually.

The total backspacing, which is what matters, is almost identical for the Raptor wheels and normal stock wheels @ 6" each. The Raptor's are actually slightly higher, but by a negligible amount. But stock wheels will rub with true 35x12.5s on them. The backspacing is too high.

Pawpaw, the .5" lower backspacing on those wheels likely made all the difference. Jeffbang62 ran Raptor wheels and tires (315/70/17, which is smaller than a true 35) on his stock 4X4 with a 2.5" level and he said they rubbed. But every truck is different.

Stock Ford 17's are 7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of backspacing...I think the Raptor 17's are 8 or 8.5 inches wide with close to 6 inches of backspacing. The BFG TA/KO's made for Ford may be a little wider then the Hummer version I had year's ago. You have to find the right combination not to rub on the inside or on the lower wheelwells caused by tucking them in too much or sticking out too far...almost a science!!!

Backspacing should be no problem. The stock 20" wheels have a 6.5" backspacing.

This is when I had the 315's on 17x9 wheels with 5 inches of BS...they stuck out 2 inches more then stock and 1-1/2 inches more then the 17x8 wheels I put the tires on later. Just enough to cause rubbing when turning even after trimming. The 09 and up truck's should have more room in the front wheelwells then the 04 truck I had them on. Curious now to see how the end result will be!
