tires for 2013 f150
 

Hey guys I was looking for some help I recently made the conversion from chevy to ford I purchased a 2.5 inch leveling kit from rough country. My problem is that I have 285 65 18 nitto trail grapplers and im worried these tires will be to small and look stupid. So I am wondering if a will be able to fit these tires with out any problems and not level the truck thanks for the help

Those tires are roughly 33x12x18 and being a MT tread design they'll look a little larger. Anything taller or wider will cause more of a performance and mileage loss. Personally I would go with a 2 inch leveling kit instead of the 2 1/2"...just my 2 cent's!

They might look a bit small, but not bad because of how aggressive the tread pattern is. I'd still level it with them on there, but they should fit without a level as well. You can always put the tires on, then decide whether or not you want the level on.

If your vehicle is a 2wd, no they will not fit without the leveling kit. If a 4wd, yes they should fit without.

Sorry, I assumed 4wd. What Kingfish said is true, though they might fit without a level on a 2wd if you trim the inner fender and then there may be some rubbing on steering lock. It's really only the fat mud tire side lugs that'll be a potential issue The tires aren't much wider (10mm) than and aren't but a half inch taller than 275/55/20s that come stock on some 2wd trucks

guys thanks a lot for the input I'm new to this forum and love the input I believe I'm going to send the 2.5" kit back and go with a 1.5" kit I've seen some on here with 33's and they look a lot better again thanks guys and I'm happy to join the ford family oh and the truck is a 4x4 any other tips or tricks would be appriciated

If you do any towing, you might want to skip the leveling kit. Even with a WD hitch, if you have a leveling kit, you will be sagging in the rear while towing.

If it were my truck, I'd keep the 2.5" and swap the 2" leaf spring block in the back to a 3". 4wds set up like this look borderline lifted. I added 2" to the front and rear of my 2wd, but that's about how a stock 4wd sits.

Doing that would, of course, not help your concern with the tires potentially looking small, but you'd be amazed at how different it looks set up like that.

I put a Zone Offroad 2" front and rear on my 2013 with 295/70R18 Trail Grapplers and it sits exactly like I wanted. Zero rubbing issues.
