Fuel Hostage / Toyo OC A/T's

Guys I might have settled on a combo......wanting your opinions.

Fuel Hostage - 17 x 8.5" wheel
Toyo OC A/T - 285/70R/17

I'm not too handy at posting what a pic of this might look like.....but figured you guys would know.

They are 8.5" wide with a backspace of 5.75......so I beleive they would only stick out about .4" further than my stock combo. Hopefully this won't cause much mud flinging up the side of my truck.

Other options include.....

VRock 17x9" - 6.14" backspace (same toyos)
XD Monster 18x9" - 6.37" backspace with 265/70R/18's (toyo A/T's)

I don't think any of these will require a level or lift.....which I wanted to avoid and should sacrifice very minimal or fuel economy with ECO and 3.73's.

Anyways, to the OP, either combo will work fine. The 265s will be a lot narrower than the 285s so less mud will get flung, but they won't fill out the wheelwells quite as much. It all depends on what you think looks better

the fuel hostage wheels are nice (i have the chrome on my 2003) but one word of advise. watch out for the plastic decorative bolts at the end of the spokes because they will break off when drying or washing the wheels. I've had 3 come off on 3 different rims now when cleaning , I think the cloth must have got tangled around it, didn't take much at all and off it came. not sure what i would have done if i had lost them when driving. they have a small hole in the centre of the plastic bolt head and in the wheel itself so i cut the head off a rivet and inserted/glued it to the bolt head and then inserted it back into the wheel. I figured it helped act as a reinforcement and also hold it in place while the JB weld dried. i'm a lot more careful and gentle now when i do clean them, I'm really pissed because these wheels are not cheap and then something like this happens and they are just a year old. I do like the looks of the wheels on my truck thou and I get lots of compliments. good luck

I'm surprised by that. For the price of these wheels that's kind of ridiculous but at least it's an easy fix. I have the black ones and figured if they got scratched or something it will be easy enough to paint them
