My 97 has had the passenger front ABS sensor replaced about a year ago, now my light has come on again. I noticed the brakes locking up when i was coming home on the gravel, so that night i decided to take it back out and see if i could replicate it, yes, so i went to the highway to see if it did it again, yes locked up the passenger side. I will pull codes and post them up when i get a chance. Any tips will be great.

 

sounds like another bad sensor that is shutting down the ABS system.

It could also be the ABS module that is bad, but hopefully its just a sensor.

 

ok, now before the light even comes on im getting feedback from the ABS as i start to depress the petal. Ive hooked a code reader up to it and havent been able to get a code from it. the truck wont finish a KOER or KOEO test. im starting to freak out. It starts and runs amazing, i just cant get a code with the ABS light on.

 

Most cheap code readers won't pull ABS codes

 

How much do you have to spend to get a reader that will?

My ABS light is coming on but intermittently and the brakes seem to be working fine - or at least no differently with or without the light on.
