I'm dumb I used a scotch brite pad on my wheel
Just got a new set of 2012 FX4 18s on my truck from a guy on Craigslist and one of the wheels had some crud on it I couldn't get off so being the dummy that I am, I grabbed a Scotch brite pad from the kitchen and went to town. Now I have these fine swirly scuffs/scratches on one of my wheels. Is there something I can use to polish these off or do I need to take it to a wheel shop to have it polished?

You're not dumb, just not very "brite". Sorry had to!

Do the rest of the rims, that is the latest look on custom cars and motorcycles. NO, I am not kidding.............

factory rims aren't bare metal....they have a clear powder coat so he scuffed the powder coat and a clear coat will bring it back.

Yes, the custom shops are using scotchbrite on chrome for a different effect. Chip Foose is one of them.

I bet you can buff it out. Worth a shot.

Powder coat doesn't buff easily as it is much harder than paint.

i accidently did that on one of the spokes of my wifes volvo, but its okay cause i plasti-dipped right over it :)
