35x12.50 r20

Ok so I have been reading here for the past couple of weeks and figured I might as well register...
I bought a used 2005 F150 4X4 and the previous owner has 35X12.50 R20 on it but they need replaced yesterday! Anyway they run a little on the inside bars (technical name?) I really like the look as it but I am thinking I might be better off with something a little smaller. But what? My head is spinning with all the tires sizes and then of course metric.

The Wheels that are on it now are the KMC "Hot Wheels" 20X8.5 like these
https://www.f150online.com/forums/pa...pping-obo.html

any suggestions, I thought about the 305/55 but I would think they would look to small. I know it has some sort of lift or leveling on it

Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing the "inside bars" is the sway bar. Those rims have +35 offset which is probably why they rub like that. 295/60 R20 may be just small enough to not rub. They are 34.5x12.1. 305/55 is 12.6 wide so it may still rub

Yeah I think its the sway bars, the front of the tire hits some metal and the back of the front tire its another metal part.
Thanks for the info on the 305/55 I thought they were pretty close to the same width but I was getting conflicting numbers everywhere I read.
I am guessing the 295/60r20 is not a very common size, seems like Nitto is the only pick

Oh yeah I had a tire shop put some 17's on to give it that "Raptor" look ...it actually look pretty good, Its just the cost, man 20's are $$$$$$$$$$ I could get wheels and tires (17's) for about the same price as just the 20's

I'm with you on that. I bought 17s too. No way I'm going to pay double or more for 20s and the same size tires as I would put on 17s. And I did get that size off nitto's website. I don't ever get metric sizes so I'm not familiar with what's available. I always look at 35x12.50 or 37x13.50

well I have never had good luck...it looks like I am stuck at the cross roads
Get new tires and be done with it or scrap the wheels and start over with something else, wheel and tire. I do like the black wheels that are so popular on my white truck

You can go with a 285/65/20 BFG KO. They will fill the fenders but not rub.

Dog'em...I had that size written down but after searching and searching I stopped looking when I got frustrated and my eyes crossed. Now that I read what you wrote and double checking everything I think that might be what I am looking for...now what brand? Is BFG the only one that makes them $$$

To be honest I really don't know who all makes that tire size. The BFG's are expensive I know but they wear and perform well so that is pretty much all I use on my truck. You may just have to search each manufacturer's web site to see for sure.

What do you guys think of the 275/65 R20 ? It looks like its about a 34Xalmost 11. I am sure I wont be overly excited about dropping from the 35X12.50 Will it look to skinny?
