Where do you guys get your tires?

I used to have a buddy who worked at 4wheel parts so I used to be able to get tires at nearly cost, excellent deals. However he no longer works there, and my truck needs new tires badly. Been looking around online and calling around a few shops, can't seem to decide what to do. Prices are cheaper online, but shipping brings the cost up a lot. Shops cost even more, but seem to sport a better warranty. However, shops don't seem to have as many options and I can't find the right deal for me. Money isn't a huge issue, if I have to pay more I will, but still trying to save a few bucks here. I'm looking at the Nitto Trail Grapplers or Toyo MTs in a 35x12.50r18 size.

What have most of you done as far as getting new tires for any kind of deal?

Discount Tire is where i got mine. They gave me a great deal a couple years ago. Check them out. Their prices are negotiable.

you'll laugh at me, wal-mart to get my Goodyears, i hate the fact that it takes them 2 hours to do 2 tires... so yea let the bashing begin...

America's Tire or Discount Tire (yes, they're the same thing)...I don't even shop around anymore; it's futile. When you compare everything; price, mount & balance, customer service, knowledge, etc, they cannot be beat!

Wow. 2 hours for 2 tires? That's horrible.

When I was still busting tires, I could knock out 2 full sets in that time. Or one Audi R8. What a pain that thing was to do tires on.

2 tires should take 30 minutes, maybe 40 if they're heavy truck tires or low-profile high performance tires with a stiff sidewall that requires a bit more work to do.

I used to go to Discount Tire but they are so busy now and the wait is so long, I go to a small local tire store. What is weird, I discovered that their prices are hardly any higher.

I have had great luck with tires and rims from Discount Tire Direct and I recently purchased tires for my daughters car at TireBuyer.com, great price and two day shipping.

Just bought a set yesterday from www.discounttiredirect.com. 944 shipped to my door for 315/70/17 falken wild peaks. Will be in Friday and on Monday. Best deal with shipping I could find.

i used rimzone.com for my tire/wheel package. it seemed like i looked everywhere there was to look and they had the best overall price. plus i used a promo code and got a lug wrench kit for free.

I've been using the local offroad shop down here. They specialize in truck tires and have great prices and service to boot. They also have atv tires at good prices also.

Craig's list is good if you find what you want. i got a great deal on a set of brand new Toyo MTs on there. I got my mud grapplers I have now at Wetumpka Tire and Auto. 35x12.50 R17 for $1215 mounted and balanced with free lifetime rotating and balancing. Of course that doesn't help anybody that doesn't live in central Alabama:lol: That place beat all the internet prices I could find

got my 33s from rimzoneonline, everywhere else i looked where more expensive (to me)

tell me about it... i went back to see what was taking so long, but i guess i gotta let the crackheads from a crack town take their time.... it peeves me off that they let ppl like that work on someones vehicle... Its really unnerving when the head of the shop says, "im so sorry it took that idiot so long to do 2 tires, i dont know why he even did it." needless to say i got the road hazard to replace the dang things if crackhead johnny's job fails... i'm gonna do the other 2 this spring to get em all matching, mismatched tires bother me, not to mention look trashy.
