what's the best way to get old brake dust off?
 

So I've neglected to clean my wheels for some time now and the brake dust has been caked on it hard. I've tried Simple Green and various cleaners and nothing can take them off. I've even tried various power balls and nothing seems to work. Talk about elbow grease...I'm all the way to the shoulder. Any tips on solutions/products to get my wheels back to their original shine?
