good deal?

A set of pro comp extreme at 325/60/18 tire with 25% tread and 1079 rims for 550. I have been meaning to get new tires anyways and always wanted new rims so this might be my chance. I could never see myself spending all that money for brand new rims. So what do you guys think. Good deal or not?

I would say that's a pretty decent deal, as long as the wheels are still in good shape.

Tires sound like they are worth about $50 a piece. 350 (300 with a cash deal) is a decent price to pay for rims I would say. What year is your truck? Do the new wheels already have sensors in them? Are you ok with the dash messages if there are no sensors in them?....

How long are you planning on running the used tires? It doesn't seem like you will get many miles out of them before you need to replace them. You can get brand new 1079s for less than $500. Buying new you don't have to worry about how the rims were treated, if they are bent, etc. If it were me, I'd pass on the used set, especially if I was planning on getting new tires soon.

Also try to lowball a little bit. Usually with a cash sale a seller will be willing to take atleast $100 less than the asking price.
