The perfect set.... of tires
I have a 07' Ford f-150 stx black in color and everything stock, but the chrome ford rims. I need opinions on what the perfect set of tires would be for my truck. I'm new to the custom works on trucks and need new pointers on what to do to make this truck look good. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. if you have any pics that would be good too.
Step 1. You have to post what you want out of the tire.
a. Do you want a sporty look or an offroad look.
b. Do you want a comfy ride, lower road noise, long tread life, or do you care to sacrifice that for other capabilities. What kind of driving conditions will you be seeing (snow, ice, frequent rain, ?)
c. What kind of money are you looking to spend?
2. Learn to use the search tool it is your friend, you can also browse the galleries and find many examples.
Just giving you a heads up, but with a first post as non descriptive as that, I do not suspect you will receive much feedback. Try adding MORE detail to what you are looking for.

I'm looking for a more aggressive all terrain tire that looks good and a size that sticks out a more than stock. What is the max size I can go with out a lift kit or anything? I was trying to stay under a grand for a price range too.

305 would be a good width. As for sticking out more, your not going to get a whole lot of the look you are going for with factory wheels.
If its 4 wheel drive I would go with the BFG KO AT in a 285/70/17 or a 305/65/17.
If its 2 wheel drive I would go with the BFG KO AT in a 275/65/17.

It's not a matter of should you go bigger, you need to consider the total tire height, and without a level, you simply cannot fit anything larger than a total overall height of 33" without doing further mods. Check out http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html and play with the tire numbers to see what you are up against.
